What Inspired My New Series the Amaranthine Chronicles

I’ve always been fascinated by shape shifters and werewolves
and shifter stories. I also really love wolves so I decided this series would
have some kind of shapeshifter in it. I wanted it to be something completely
different from my previous series.
After going through an old fantasy series I’d written a few
years ago, I decided to change the storyline and set it in a more modern, urban
setting. Once I had a proper outline and a good idea of who the characters were
going to be. The storyline slowly unfolded. I knew I wanted it to be set in a
make-believe city that was full of corruption and danger. After going to London
and seeing Tower Bridge there I decided to set the series solely around one
place. I wanted to show the corruption there and it was fun writing a about a
band of outlaws who go around righting the wrongs. But at the centre of the story is the romance
between the two main characters who had previously been a loving relationship
but had then torn apart and how they work to find their way back to each other.
